This program is for developing players ages 8-14, with training sessions designed for beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels. Our Revolution Development Program has sessions running year round.
RDP helps our young athletes build foundational skills for future competitive opportunities and focuses on the fundamentals of volleyball through individual and group drills, station work, and game play.

Beginner
Beginner
Passing/Defense
- Rarely Plays the Ball
- Basic understanding of platform angles
- Basic ready position facing target
- Arms together sometimes
- Able to move feet to the ball sometimes
- Able to hold hand finish to target sometimes
Setting
- Basic knowledge of shaping the ball
- Able to move feet to find the ball sometimes
- Can catch the ball overhead
- Little to no knowledge of hand angles when setting
- Able to set the ball from forehead sometimes
Hitting
- Finishes swing all the way through sometimes
- Can hit the ball if tossed most of the time
- Good hand contact on the ball sometimes
- Rotates body leading with hip sometimes
- Able to jump and swing sometimes
Serving
- Able to make good hand contact on the ball sometimes
- Able to toss the ball out in front of hitting are most of the time
- Able to move feet to a bad toss sometimes
- Finished hand and body together sometimes
Intermediate
Passing/Defense
- Able to pass to target most of the time
- General understanding of passing angles
- Able to pass midline consistently and out of body sometimes
- Moves feet to the ball most of the time
- Able to predict when the ball is going sometimes
Setting
- Able to set anything in front of them and sometimes behind them
- Able to se the ball from forehead most of the time
- Basic understanding of finishing sets and angles of hands somewhat
Hitting
- Finishes swing all the way through most of the time
- Able to rotate leading with hip most of the time
- Somewhat consistent hand contact on ball
- Able to get feet/approach to the ball most of the time
- Somewhat understands finishing entire body
Serving
- Serve overhand accurately most of the time
- Able to adjust to a bad toss most of the time
- Finishes hand and body together most of the time
- Makes solid hand contact on the ball most of the time
Advanced
Passing/Defense
- Consistently able to pass to target
- Deeper understanding of passing angles
- Able to pass midline and out of body to target consistently
- Consistently able to predict where the ball is going
Setting
- Able to set both pins as well as the middle
- Consistently sets from forehead even on a bad pass
- Able to have feet stopped prior to set
- Finished sets consistently in front and behind
- Demonstrates knowledge of different angles of hands
Hitting
- Consistently finished swing all the way
- Consistently able to rotate through the ball
- Consistent hand contact on the ball
- Consistently able to move feet to the ball when approaching
- General knowledge of closing hip and hand together
Serving
- Consistently serves overhand
- Consistently able to float serve
- Consistently able to adjust to poor toss
- Consistently finishes hand and body together
