Originally from Los Angeles, California, Wendy was introduced to volleyball in the 8th grade by former Cal State Northridge player Ed DeGrasse, which sparked a lifelong passion for the game. She went on to play for the first inner-city Starlings Volleyball team in South Central LA and later for Westside Volleyball Club before competing as an Outside Hitter at Cal State Los Angeles under Coach Bill Lawler from 2001–2006.

Wendy began coaching during her freshman year of college with the LA County Probation Starlings program and is now entering her 24th year of coaching club volleyball, working with both girls (ages 11–18) and boys (ages 14–18) teams.

Since moving to Arizona in 2012, Wendy has coached at Copper Canyon and Sierra Linda High Schools, as well as several clubs including Club Red Boys (2013 16s Regional Champions), Spiral, FEAR, and Matrix. Wendy is now entering her 7th season with Revolution Volleyball Academy, serving as Head Coach for 13 Premier and 18 Elite.

“Coaching continues to be one of the greatest joys of my life—helping athletes grow, compete, and find confidence both on and off the court.” -Coach Silva
