Taylor Woods

Taylor began playing volleyball at 9 years old. She grew up playing club in Phoenix and continued her athletic career playing both indoor and beach volleyball at Colorado Mesa University. Before heading off to Colorado, Taylor was the recipient of the DVUSD Pursuing Victory with Honor Female Athlete of the Year in 2015.

While in college, Taylor received many accolades, including Colorado Mesa University rally-scoring era record for career digs (2019), was the RMAC Academic Player of the Year (2019), and was the AVCA South Central Region and RMAC Freshman of the Year (2016).

Taylor has been coaching since 2015. She spent her first 4 years coaching with  Mesa Juniors in Colorado (2015-2019). After graduating college, she spent time in Wisconsin coaching for Madison Elite (2019-2021). In 2021, she returned to the valley where she coached for Victorium from 2021-2024. Currently, Taylor is coaching at Notre Dame Prep.

Outside of volleyball, Taylor is a middle school PE and Study Skills teacher.

Taylor is excited to be at RVA and can’t wait to start working with our talented athletes in the 16s age group!
