Melissa Joseph
18 Premier Head Coach
bio
Melissa has a long history with the volleyball world. She grew up and played locally in the valley along side her sisters where they attended various clubs as well as Horizon High school (state champions in 2009/2010). Upon graduating in 2011, she continued to play at
Colorado Mesa University, in Grand Junction, CO. She was originally recruited as a Pin, but her coach found that should would have a bigger more dominant role as a MB.
During her time at CMU, she received many accolades, including but not limited to All-Conference teams, All-Region teams and 2-time All-American. Recently she was selected onto the CMU volleyball All-Decade team.
After graduating college in 2015, she felt the need to continue to play volleyball and seek opportunities in Europe. She played for a team in Klagenfurt Austria, where they finished 3rd in their National division.
Moving back to the valley shortly after the conclusion of her European season, she knew she wanted to get into coaching. In 2016 she became South Mountain CC assistant coach and help develop played that would be All-Americans and even more so, go on to play at 4-year schools. In 2019 Melissa was named Head Coach of the Women’s Volleyball team at South Mountain CC and has been there since, continuing to produce All-Conference and All-Region athletes and assisting in athletes finding 4-year homes.
She has coached at various clubs throughout the valley (Spiral and most recently Victorium) , focusing mainly on the 18’s programs. Qualifying for 18’s Nationals 2 years in a row and helping find college opportunities for numerous players has been the success she is been proud of and she is eager to continue these successes at Revolution Volleyball Academy.
Her program values are similar to those of Rev and she believes that Discipline, Servant-Leadership, Growth-Mindset, Integrity and Community are important pillars of success and coaches through these areas towards success.
When Melissa is not coaching volleyball you can find her playing volleyball, working out, traveling and spending time with her husband and 2 kids.
