Freddy Silva

Freddy was born in Los Angles and came to Arizona for college, where he attended NAU and Ottawa University. He is currently working towards his associates from the Community College of the AirForce and will be re-enrolling at NAU to complete his bachelors degree. Freddy plans to major in Computer Science with a potential minor in psychology.

In 2019, Freddy joined the Ottawa University Men’s Volleyball Team as a walk on and even obtained a partial scholarship during his time at Ottawa. In 2019, the men’s team won the NCCAA Championship. Freddy continued to play at OU for 3 years as an outside and a libero.

Freddy has been in the military for the past 9 years and continues to pursue his passion for volleyball. Since enlisting, Freddy has been part of his base’s intramural team and won the base championship. He was an OH for Cannon Air Force Base co-ed team and is currently an OH/L for the Luke Air Force Base team.

Freddy joined RVA in 2023 with 3 years of coaching experience. During the 2023-2024 club season, his team had multiple top 10 finishes throughout the season and finished 4th in the AZ Region Championships.

Freddy is excited for another season at RVA and is looking forward to working with our talented athletes in the 17s age group!
