Cassie Smith
North 13 Premier Head Coach
bio
Cassie is a Prescott native, growing up in the area playing volleyball for Mile High Middle School, Prescott High School and the Yavapai Juniors volleyball club. She also played tennis throughout middle school and high school, then recreationally since then. After high school, Cassie decided to take a break from sports and focus on college, where she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Marketing.
Cassie is in her 4th season of coaching volleyball at Prescott High School, assistant coaching all levels, but this year being the head coach of the FROSH team. Her favorite part of coaching is cultivating a love for the sport, for her team, and building character traits that will help them be successful on the court as well as in life. She believes that an athlete’s growth in their talents is a natural byproduct of loving the game and being an exceptional teammate.
Cassie considers it an honor to coach her athletes, and teach them the fundamentals of volleyball. Watching them excel and be able to celebrate each goal they accomplish is what she considers the greatest reward as a coach. She has learned so much about the game and its evolving techniques from the coaches she has worked with over the years and hopes to pass that knowledge forward and cultivate a love for the game in each athlete she works with.
