With over 20 years of volleyball coaching experience at the youth, high school, and collegiate levels, Amanda opened Revolution in 2011.
Coaching Background
Aside from being the director at RVA, Amanda is currently the Head Coach at Sandra Day O’Connor High School in Phoenix. Before SDO, Amanda spent two seasons at Notre Dame Prep in Scottsdale. Prior to that, Amanda had returned to her alma mater of Arizona State for the spring season of 2017 as the recruiting coordinator after spending the fall of 2016 at her former high school, Chaparral in Scottsdale, AZ. While at Chaparral, she lead the Firebirds to the State Tournament, a second place finish at the Goldwater Tournament while earning Coach of the Year honors for the region.
Additionally, Amanda spent eight seasons as the Head Coach at Phoenix College. While at Phoenix College, Amanda led the Bears to four straight Conference Playoffs, two Conference Titles and two National Tournament births while earning two Region Coach of the Year awards.
Before her 8 seasons at Phoenix College, Amanda was the Head Coach and teacher at Desert Mountain High School, in Scottsdale Arizona. While under her guidance, DMHS had three straight appearances in the State Tournament, while winning Back to Back State Titles in 2005 and 2006. During this time Amanda was awarded Desert Sky Coach of the Year (2005, 2006) and East Valley Tribune Coach of the Year (2006), while also having a featured article in Coaching Management Magazine in December 2005.
Playing Experience & Achievements
As a volleyball player, Amanda grew up in the Arizona club system, and decided to play collegiately as an Outside Hitter at Arizona State University. After ASU, Amanda played professionally in Ponce, Puerto Rico. While at ASU, Amanda amassed the following awards and records:
